CXP Secures 20K-SF of Leases at D.C. Office Property
Columbia Property Trust has secured more than 20,000 square feet of leasing transactions this year at Market Square, a trophy office property in Washington D.C.
Located at 701 and 801 Pennsylvania Ave., the historic 675,000-square-foot property is now 90% leased to a tenant base that includes more than 30 Fortune 500 companies. CXP’s recent activity at Market Square includes two new lease signings and three renewals. Among these are Brown-Forman, one of the largest American-owned spirits and wine companies, which has signed a new direct lease for 4,400 square feet at Market Square. The Real Estate Roundtable also signed a lease renewal for 6,350 square feet, while two additional firms will remain in approximately 8,000 square feet.
Columbia owns Market Square through a joint venture with Blackstone Property Partners.
