CushWake’s Betty Castro President-Elect at CREW New York

Betty Castro, managing principal of Cushman & Wakefield’s Downtown office, has been elected president-elect of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) New York for 2020. Castro has pledged to serve as President-Elect in 2020, President in 2021 and Past President in 2022, a three-year commitment.

Currently, Castro heads CREW New York’s Legacy Leaders Committee and is heavily involved in the group’s diversity and inclusion initiatives. She will continue these responsibilities until she steps into the role of President-Elect in 2020, shadowing the organization’s next President, Allison Robin of Levien & Company.

“The real estate industry is historically a male-dominated field, so I am incredibly proud to have been elected to lead a group that works diligently towards the advancement of women,” said Castro. “I am committed to ensuring that CREW New York continues on a successful path, and that women in the industry know that this resource is available to them.”
