CushWake Taps Garrett Keais to Lead Detroit Region

Garrett Keais (pictured) has been named managing principal of Cushman & Wakefield’s Detroit operations, succeeding Brian Piergentili, who led the business since Cushman & Wakefield’s merger with DTZ in 2015. Piergentili will return to a client-facing role, remaining actively involved throughout the transition.

“We made a commitment to Detroit three years ago when we established our corporate office, recognizing that this historic city was undergoing a significant revitalization,” said John O’Neill, regional managing principal with Cushman & Wakefield. “Our company and our list of clients have grown since that time, and Garrett is well-positioned to take us forward in today’s market.”

A 25-year veteran of commercial real estate, Keais has been with Cushman & Wakefield’s stand-alone Detroit office since its 2015 opening. “Detroit has been undergoing a massive transformation that has resulted in strong momentum and commercial real estate is a big part of that story,” he said.
