CushWake Reps Anixter Center in Sale to Partnership

Cushman & Wakefield represented Anixter Center in its sale of 2032 N. Clybourn Ave., which includes a 150,000-square-foot building and adjacent land that comprise one of the largest parcels in Lincoln Park, centrally and strategically located adjacent to the Lincoln Yards development.

A Cushman & Wakefield team of Dirk Riekse, Eric Sorensen, Larry Goldwasser and Kathleen Nelson represented Anixter in the $15-million sale to a partnership led by Jon Morgan and Mike Whalen of Heart of America Group, which intends to redevelop the property.

The property sale will allow Anixter Center to sustainably reinvest in its future, Cushman & Wakefield said.

“The sale of 2032 N. Clybourn, the doorway to Lincoln Yards, helps support Anixter’s mission for years to come and will lead to thoughtful multifamily redevelopment in one of Chicago’s fastest-growing areas,” said Sorensen. “It’s truly a win-win for everyone involved, and we’re proud to play a role in supporting Anixter’s critical work in our community.”
