CushWake Markets “Jewel Box” Between Fifth Ave., Rock Center

Cushman & Wakefield is marketing for sale a four-story office and retail building at 12 W. 48th St. that’s slated for completion in early 2019. Ownership is seeking proposals for the property; a price range wasn’t disclosed.

A Cushman & Wakefield team of Charles Borrok, John F. Ciraulo, Craig Waggner and Director Will Conrad will lead the marketing efforts on behalf of the property’s seller. “12 W. 48th presents a unique branding opportunity for any occupier at the southern end of Rockefeller Plaza,” said Borrok.

When completed, 12 W. 48th will feature approximately 30,845 square feet and 75 feet of frontage between Fifth Avenue and Rockefeller Plaza. It’s being constructed as a glass jewel box with an articulated façade to capture sightlines from its surroundings.

Given its location, the property “could be acquired as a flagship retail location, corporate headquarters, family office or government embassy, mission or consulate,” said Ciraulo.
