Cushman & Wakefield Boosts FL Presence with Gibson Realty Acquisition
Cushman & Wakefield has acquired GVR Realty Group d/b/a Gibson Realty Group. Gibson Realty, a commercial real estate management firm, oversees a portfolio of more than 4.1 million square feet of office, industrial and flex space in South Florida.
The acquisition brings Cushman & Wakefield’s portfolio in Miami to 36 properties, totaling 6.1 million square feet. The deal also adds 33 employees to the company’s South Florida ranks.
“When approached by Cushman & Wakefield, I saw a unique opportunity to provide our employees with a great place to work and a secure future,” said O. Ford Gibson, founder and principal of Gibson Realty. Gibson will remain with the company, and continue to expand its South Florida presence.
