CSW Moving Ahead with 320-Unit Austin Apartment Build
A permit to demolish the Frost Bank at 3525 Far West Boulevard and Wood Hollow Drive is all that’s in the way of an Austin developer starting work on a mid-rise apartment building. CSW Development, which purchased the property in 2021, is planning to build a five-story, 320-unit project at the current address.
Towers.net reports the developer is participating in the vertical mixed-use density bonus program, making 10 percent or 32 of those units income-restricted affordable housing for tenants earning 80 percent or less of the region’s Median Family Income.
The building’s local design team includes civil engineers TDI Engineering, architects STG Design, and landscape architecture firm Ecoland Design Group. The project will also include 6,000 square feet of ground-level, street-facing retail.
CSW has existed for over 20 years. Since 2004, it says it has completed more than 100 real estate projects with a combined market value of over $1.2 billion.
