Cromwell Commercial Group has plans to build a hotel in Elgin, as well as some other commercial real estate buildings. Cromwell received the go-ahead from the local town council to proceed with its 76-acre project called Silo Ranch. Besides the hotel, plans suggest it could also include multifamily, additional hotels, commercial development and civic spaces.

The Austin Business Journal reports the company’s early plans call for bringing 190,000 square feet of neighborhood retail to the city, including standalone pads, multi-tenant buildings, and end-cap drive-thru spaces. Tenants are aimed to include restaurants, medical offices, a grocery store, fitness studio, coffee shops, nail salons, home decor and more.

Will Phipps, Gregg Glime and Brandon Davis with Cromwell Commercial Group are the listed brokers on the project.

Elgin, which is located about 25 miles northeast of Austin and with a population of around 12,500 people, has in the last several years been a target for homebuilders with thousands of homes on the way.
