CRG Joins $68M Industrial Project on Chicago’s West Side

CRG, a St. Louis-based real estate developer and investor, has joined a $68 million industrial project that is planned for Chicago’s West Side.

The firm joins local developers Related Midwest and 548 Development on the solar-powered industrial complex, which will be located at 4300 W. Roosevelt Road in North Lawndale, reported the Chicago Business Journal.

“CRG is pleased to be involved in the development project at 4300 Roosevelt Road,” said Susan Bergdoll, CRG’s senior vice president and partner for the Midwest Region. “We are working closely with all our project partners as we move toward closing on the land.”

The project includes two 181,760-square-foot industrial buildings and two 5,000-square-foot innovation centers with space for community-based retail, workforce training and office uses. The Chicago City Council recently approved a $7.7 million tax incentive for the project, which is expected to help create 250 full-time jobs and 125 construction jobs. The project will also receive up to $8 million in tax increment financing.
