Crew Fitness, a Mobile, AL-based fitness company specializing in rowing, is entering Texas. Its first location will be a 2,000-square-foot bungalow, part of the Bungalows on 22^nd Street retail development currently under construction in the Heights neighborhood of Houston. Randy Wile of Wile Interests and Capital Retail Properties are developing the boutique retail center, which consists of two 1930s-style California bungalows.

The new studio will occupy space at 715 W. 22^nd St., with the opening planned for spring 2018. “As a brand, Crew Fitness values health, character, acceptance and community – all elements that seemed to line up perfectly with the area,” said Dan Strange who, with Marcia Strange, launched Crew Fitness. Other area locations could open, as well.
