Crest Manor to Undergo $18M Rehab

Crest Manor in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, a more than 50-year-old affordable housing property, will soon undergo a $17.7 million rehabilitation. The complex, at 2231 Hamilton Ave., is owned by the Montgomery County Housing Authority, and has 40 subsidized apartments and duplexes.

Penrose Properties, which has been retained to do the rehabilitation, will completely gut 30 twin units and tear down 10 twin units. The developer will build 16 new units, a community center and maintenance building. Interiors and exteriors will be upgraded, with additional units designated for those with physical disabilities.

Work is expected to begin immediately. Upon the project’s completion, Crest Manor will have 46 twin and apartment units, ranging from one to five bedrooms.
