Crescent, Nuveen Nab 20-Story Charlotte Office Tower

Crescent Communities and Nuveen Real Estate acquired 101 North Tryon, a 20-story, 546,878-square-foot office tower in Charlotte as part of a joint venture. The sales price was undisclosed.

The property is located in Charlotte’s central business district, also known as Uptown. Recently renovated in 2018, the tower features an updated lobby and tenant common areas, as well as direct access to two hotels, the Charlotte Marriott City Center and the boutique Ivey’s Hotel. Tenants at the building include Bank of America, Robinson Bradshaw & Hinson, Spaces, Sunlight Financial and Northeastern University.

Ryan Clutter, Scot Humphrey, Chris Lingerfelt and Zack Drozda of HFF represented the seller, Barings LLC, in the transaction. Barings acquired the building in 2015 for a reported $108 million.
