Crescent Heights’ DTLA Dev Soars to 70 Stories
Early Bird Alert: Connect Apartments is planned for September 28th in Los Angeles. Here’s where to get more information and register.
Crescent Heights plans to develop a 70-story, mixed-use tower in DTLA at 11th and Olive Streets. The Miami-based residential developer updated its proposed high-rise project at 1045 S. Olive St. to include nearly 800 apartments above 12,500-square-feet of ground-floor retail space.
The 810-foot-tall tower would be SoCal’s tallest residential building, and is being designed by New York-based architectural firm ODA. The design intent is Mid Century Modern in an urban context, with floor-to-ceiling glass, cantilevered balconies, a large rooftop deck, dedicated amenity decks and 200 trees.
The project has increased in height from roughly 714 feet when Crescent Heights initially filed project plans in 2016. The development is expected to qualify under California’s ELDP program, which guarantees faster processing times for projects budgeted at more than $100 million.
