Cresa, A&P, City of Anna Headline This Weeks Moves

  • The City of Anna Economic Development Corporation (EDC) announces that it has named Bernie Parker as director of economic development. Parker most recently served as interim director of economic development and assistant director of development for the City of Anna EDC. Leveraging nearly 20 years of experience working in the city sector, Parker will continue to lead and oversee all economic development efforts for the city. 
  • Cresa, the world’s leading occupier-centric commercial real estate firm, today announced it has acquired Fritsche Anderson Realty Partners. The firm is led by Anthony Fritsche and David Anderson, who will serve as Managing Principals and Co-Market Leaders for the global brokerage’s local office. FA’s entire roster of eleven brokers will make the move and join Cresa’s current local team, resulting in a combined presence of 23 in Houston.
  • Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP) welcomes John Hicks as its new Director of Business Development within Mission Critical Services. Raised in Austin, Hicks brings more than 10 years of experience in data center oversight of program development and project management. Hicks will work closely with AP’s Mission Critical Group and will be responsible for AP’s national mission critical business development efforts, in addition to focusing heavily on Texas. 
  • A recent survey from MRI Apartment Data indicates too much supply is overwhelming a slowing job growth/demand scenario in Texas.  As a result, rent trends are in retreat.  Austin is leading the over-supply parade with year over year negative rent growth of 8.3%; followed by DFW at -4.2% and then San Antonio and Houston coming in at -4.0% and 1.5%, respectively.  
  • Wolf Capital Partners  and Transwestern Real Estate Services (TRS) announce the completion of the interior renovation at HeightsMED, the only Class A medical office building in the Heights neighborhood. The 120,000-square-foot asset located at 427 W. 20th St. has a completely refreshed lobby and common areas on levels three and four.
