Creative Redev Commences on Case Building in St. Paul
Suntide Commercial Realty initiated the redevelopment of a one-story, brick warehouse in St. Paul’s Westgate industrial area. The former 174,000-square-foot facility was built by the Case Corp. in 1948 as a tractor parts distribution building.
The developer envisions transforming the space near University Avenue into a redevelopment project called the Case Building. It is planned as mixed-use, creative office environment that appeals to companies seeking flexible, interesting workspace near public transit.
The project also includes space for retailers and a microbrewery featuring a long outdoor patio. The design vision for the space encompasses an interior, common-area “streetscape” that will run through the center of the warehouse, and be anchored by a 30,000-square-foot common area.
Suntide’s Mike Cylkowski told the Star Tribune they’ve already landed the project’s first tenant. The unnamed professional firm claimed more than 50,000 square feet of the space and hopes to move in by fall.
