Creation to Start Work on The Switchyard in Queen Creek

Creation is days away from starting construction on The Switchyard, a $120 million mixed-use project in Queen Creek. The mixed-use development will include apartments, office space and numerous retailers, 54,000 square feet in all.

The project will be built on town-owned land at the corner of Ellsworth and Ocotillo roads. The Phoenix Business Journal reports Creation won the right to develop the site after the town issued a request for proposal in 2022.

Restaurants such as Postino, Shake Shack and Snooze will be near a 215-unit apartment community and office space.

Creation will work alongside architectural firm GFF Design, LGE Design Build and Horizon Real Estate.

The first phase of the project, which will include the retail, restaurant, and office space, is expected to open in the summer of 2026. The next phase, which will include high-end apartments, will open later.
