CRE Leaders Share Best Office Property Practices on Coronavirus Safety (WEBINAR)

Even as COVID-19 concerns have prompted many office-using employees to work from home, the office environment remains an area of concern. In Connect Commercial Real Estate’s recent webinar with commercial real estate leaders, office services and office ownership were represented in the discussion, which seeks to promote the exchange of reliable information along with best practices.

“We understand the fear that people concerning COVID-19, how it spreads and who may be affected,” said Michael Oddo, Metro Services Group founder and CEO. At the most essential level,” he said, “We’re advising our employees and customers alike to be calm and to wash their hands with soap and water. I know it sounds trite, but it’s the most important thing we can all do.”

Metro is monitoring several websites for ongoing sources of information on the coronavirus, including those of the Centers for Disease Control, the World Health Organization, the California, Los Angeles and San Francisco Departments of Health and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). More than tapping into information sources—including Connect CRE—the company is deploying EPA-approved disinfectants and a number of other tools.

On the ownership side, Drew Genova, chief asset services officer at Madison Marquette, said, “From a services standpoint, the primary goal is to over-communicate.” Genova and Jeff Herrera, senior general manager at Rising Realty Partners, shared insights into best practices at their office properties.

You can listen to the 40-minute webinar on the impact of COVID-19, moderated by Daniel Ceniceros, CEO of Connect CRE, below. We’ll be following up with another informative webinar, this one dealing with the business-operation ramifications for tenants of the ongoing public health crisis posed by the coronavirus.
