Cravath, Swaine & Moore Eyes the White House with 21K SF in DC Office
Law firm Cravath, Swaine & Moore, LLP, has inked a deal to occupy 21,065 square feet — the entire third floor — of 1601 K Street NW in Washington, DC.
Kyle Luby, Andy Eichberg and Matt Pacinelli with Stream Realty Partners represented the building’s owner in the transaction. Lou Christopher, Asher Inman, Jordan Brainard O’Neil, Lewis Miller, Andrew Sussman and Munish Viralam of CBRE represented the tenant.
Cravath’s new location at 1601 K Street complements its New York and London offices and will include resident partners who previously served in leadership roles across federal regulatory agencies.
The 11-story, Class A building is LEED Gold-Certified and has views of the White House and Washington Monument. It sits steps away from each major Metro line and offers an upgraded fitness center, tenant lounge, roof terrace, car charging station and bike storage.
Stream Washington, DC, leases and manages an office portfolio of over 7.7 million square feet.
Lisa McDuffie arrives at ConnectCRE via REALTOR® world, where she served for nearly two decades as communications director for one of the nation’s largest REALTOR® organizations. She supported two membership-elected presidents who were commercial real estate practitioners, and managed the communications initiatives of the organization’s commercial special interest group.
When not following the latest commercial real estate news, Lisa is zeroed in on her charismatic off-the-track thoroughbred as she makes the transition from an utterly failed racehorse to a lovely show hunter.
