Cowboys Dancehall Could Stay Open – Maybe
The troubled Cowboys Dancehall, a popular honky-tonk on San Antonio’s northeast side, could remain open under a deal struck with primarily lender Business Property Lending. Cowboys Far West, owner of the building at 3030 NE Interstate 410 Loop, has secured financing to pay off the $4.3 million mortgage loan and fees owed to the lender.
Cowboys Far West has two weeks to pay the money, or face liquidation under a bankruptcy plan previously approved by Chief U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Ronald Kind.
Business Property Lending launched foreclosure proceedings on the 16.6-acre property in June 2016, after the owners fell behind on their taxes. The owners also failed to pay a state fine for liquor violations.
