Covenant Health Begins to Build Short-Stay Surgical Hospital

Covenant Health, headquartered in Lubbock, began construction on a short-stay surgical hospital in Lubbock, TX. The three-story, 32-bed hospital, scheduled for completion in December 2020, is situated on 25 acres and Marsha Sharp Freeway. Skiles Group, headquartered in Dallas, is the project’s general contractor.

The internal design of the facility will include an abundance of natural light, green-space views and optimal privacy and acoustics within patient areas. The layout is also designed to provide an efficient, clinical workflow for the planned 250 caregivers and 50 physicians who will be on rotation at the facility.
