Courtland Partners Founder Dies
Michael J. Humphrey, founder and managing principal of real estate assets consulting firm Courtland Partners Ltd., died. He was 56 years old; cause of death is not known.
Humphrey co-founded Cleveland, OH-headquartered Courtland Partners more than 20 years ago. The company offers real estate, infrastructure, timber and agriculture consulting services to institutional investors. Before launching his company, Humphrey was a senior consultant with The Townsend Group. He also had positions with Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young) and Baker & Hoestler.
“Michael was one of the greatest intellects in the real estate industry, and to converse with him on that level was a sheer delight. He will be missed by all that knew him,” said Courtland spokesperson Gila Cohen, in a prepared statement.
