Costco Releases Latest on New Braunfels Location
Costco has tipped its hand about opening a new warehouse store in New Braunfels. Community Impact reports Costco has a site picked out.
The company is looking to build a store at the southeast corner of the Mayfair development, at the corner of Kohlenberg Road and I-35. Mayfair is a 1,888-acre mixed-use community that broke ground in the extraterritorial jurisdiction of New Braunfels. The cost of construction is estimated to be $33.8 million. Public filings indicate the store is aiming to begin construction on September 18 and be completed by March 19, 2026. The store, at 330 Addstine Lane, will be 158,000 square feet with a fuel station.
Costco, the third largest retailer in the world, has just over 600 hundred stores in the US and nearly 900 worldwide.
