The Segerstrom Center for the Arts, Costa Mesa’s major arts center, is undergoing a $68-millon renovation. Officials are hoping the transformation will create a public square and lead to a town center environment for all of Orange County.
Improvements include a redesigned plaza that will host a variety of free events annually. Plans also include an outdoor stage and cafe that will be open during the day and evening, and a new Center for Dance and Innovation.
Officials say the newly remodeled Segerstrom Center will become an attractive public meeting place with lots of amenities for all audiences to enjoy.
Construction will reportedly begin early next year.
