Corscale to Develop 483K-SF Data Center Campus on 130 Acres in Gainesville

Corscale (the data center platform of Patrinely Group) and capital partner USAA Real Estate have broken ground on the first building of a 300 megawatt, 130-acre data center campus in Gainesville, VA.

The first 72 megawatt of the multi-phase project is expected to come online in Q4 2022 and will consist of a single, two-story building with eight data halls and 483,000 square feet of office space.

Corscale’s full NoVA data center campus is planned for 2.3 million square feet over five, two-story buildings and 306 megawatt of utility power. The campus will have energy-efficient features including industry leading cooling techniques, energy tracking, water conservation and an ultra-low PUE.

“Corscale is focused on implementing industry leading de-carbonization and sustainability initiatives. We want to ensure that as stewards of critical natural resources, we enable our client’s own goals through real-time energy transparency,” said Nic Bustamante, SVP of development for Corscale.

About Lisa McDuffie

Lisa McDuffie arrives at ConnectCRE via REALTOR® world, where she served for nearly two decades as communications director for one of the nation’s largest REALTOR® organizations. She supported two membership-elected presidents who were commercial real estate practitioners, and managed the communications initiatives of the organization’s commercial special interest group. When not following the latest commercial real estate news, Lisa is zeroed in on her charismatic off-the-track thoroughbred as she makes the transition from an utterly failed racehorse to a lovely show hunter.
