Core, Midloch Acquire Celebrated Denver Shopping Center
Core Acquisitions and Midloch Investment Partners purchased the 271,632-square-foot Lamar Station Plaza property on Wednesday for $30.25 million. The shopping center, at 6431-6791 W. Colfax Ave., was 76% occupied at the time of the sale. Broadstreet was the seller.
The Denver Business Journal reports that the center is home to Casa Bonita, a famed eatery that attracts more than 650,000 visits a year. The 1,100-seat restaurant features live entertainment, such as cliff divers and an indoor waterfall.
Other tenants at the center include Planet Fitness, Ross Dress for Less, Dollar Tree, Dutch Bros coffee and Arc Thrift Stores, alongside other local restaurant, service and specialty tenants.
Core plans to make improvements such as roof replacements and upgrades to the facade.
Cushman & Wakefield the sale to Core Acquisitions and Midloch Investment. The buyers secured a new mortgage loan from Old National Bank.
The property will be managed by an affiliate of Core. Cushman & Wakefield will handle leasing for the landlord, the companies said.
