Industrial real estate construction activity in the Chicago area held steady in the first three quarters of 2022

Contractors Groups to Collaborate Statewide

The Associated General Contractors of New York State, a statewide group, and the Building Contractors Association of New York, which represents union building contractors in the New York City region, have entered into a collaborative agreement to strengthen the voice of the construction industry in New York City and across the state. Among other provisions, the agreement entails AGC NYS supporting BCA’s governmental affairs efforts in Albany, and BCA reciprocating on AGC NYS’s behalf in New York City.

“This strategic agreement is the culmination and formalization of a growing partnership between AGC NYS and BCA,” said AGC NYS president Mike Elmdenorf. It gives both groups “a more forceful voice and stronger presence, at a time when our industry faces both significant challenges and opportunities.”

At BCA, managing director John O’Hare said joining forces “strengthens both associations on the local and statewide levels.”  “It’s a win-win,” he added.
