Consulate General of India Leases Full Floor at DTLA’s AON Center

NAI Capital Commercial EVP Tina LaMonica, SIOR, represented the Consulate General of India in a 20,507-square-foot, 10-year lease at AON Center, 707 Wilshire Blvd. in Downtown Los Angeles. Landlord Carolwood LP was represented by vice chair Matthew Heyn and EVP Ian Gilbert of Colliers.

The Consulate General of India leased a full floor at AON Center, marking a historic milestone for the Indian-American community and fulfilling a longstanding effort to expand essential consular services in Southern California. The new consulate will be the second in California, complementing the longstanding mission in San Francisco. Greater Los Angeles has the second-largest Indian-American population in the state, following the Bay Area.

“I am honored to have worked closely with the Consulate General of India in their search for the right location in Los Angeles,” said LaMonica. “Since February, we toured numerous office buildings to ensure the consulate would have a space that reflects both its prestige and its important mission.”
