BioLegend Inc., a biotech firm headquartered in San Diego, has begun construction on a new campus in Miramar, CA. The four-building, 250,000-square-foot campus is going north at a price tag of more than $100 million. The project is expected to be completed in 2Q 2019, with employees relocating from current headquarters on Pacific Heights Boulevard in Sorrento Valley.

The renovation project on Terman Court will focus on an overhaul of three buildings that BioLegend acquired in late 2015 for $24 million. The space was once occupied by Sony Online Entertainment. The project will include a green roof with picnic tables, along with a large atrium, labs, creative offices, break rooms and conference rooms.

BioLegend, launched in 2002, develops antibodies and reagents for biomedical research. The company’s expertise is in areas including cell biology, immunobiology and neuroscience.
