Construction Begins Soon on Friendswood Commons
Virgata Property will soon begin development on its first project in Friendswood, TX. The 20,000-square-foot retail development, called Friendswood Commons, will be at 1769 S. Friendswood Dr., and will include a Chick-fil-A. Additionally, the developer indicated that approximately 60% of the 14-acre project is already leased, but declined to name additional tenants.
The project will feature two buildings, 3.6 acres for a build-to-suit development, and a 1.7-acre pad for lease or build. Construction is slated for a spring 2019 completion, with build-out taking place over the summer.
Virgata, which is headquartered in Friendswood, has developed other retail centers and restaurant sites around Houston. “(Friendswood Commons) is in our backyard, so we have a clear intention of going above and beyond in terms of design,” Virgata’s David Boone told Community Impact.
