Construction Underway on 24K-SF El Paso “Substation”
El Paso developer Will Harvey and commercial real estate agent Will Brown are building the Substation, a 24,000-square-foot shopping center on 4.5 acres. This untraditional center will be wrapped around an El Paso Electric power substation at Doniphan Drive and Sunset Road, in the area’s Upper Valley.
The project, which should be completed later this year, will offer four local food and beverage stores, as well as five or six local stores. Additionally, it will boast artifacts from old El Paso buildings. The artifacts will include two metal tanks from the demolished Globe Mills, a 107-year-old flour mill near Interstate 10.
