Construction Starts on East Side Family Dollar

Max Alley Construction of Texarkana, TX, has begun dirt and site work on what will be a Family Dollar store on the east side of Wichita Falls, TX. The 8,464-square-foot discount retail store is scheduled for completion in mid-July 2017, with the Opening set for the early part of August.

The store, which will be at Seventh Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, is the first time commercial construction has taken place on the town’s east side for many years. Wichita Falls District 2 City Councilor DeAndra Chenault said she wanted to see new business coming to the East Side. “I’m hoping when this (Family Dollar) opens, we’ll have some other developers that might want to come and begin to build that area up,” said Chenault in a recent interview with the Wichita Times Record News.
