Construction Launches on 350K-SF FW Tanger Outlet
North Carolina-based Tanger Factory Outlet Centers Inc. has begun construction on a 350,000-square-foot retail center in north Fort Worth. The upscale mall at Interstate 35W and SH 114 will serve the Fort Worth and Denver City areas near Texas Motor Speedway.
As part of an economic incentives agreement, the company will invest at least $70 million to build the center, and will hire hundreds of employees. The new mall will provide more than 900 full-time and part-time jobs when it opens in 2018. In return, Tanger will receive 85% of the city’s one-cent sales tax for 15 years, totaling $25 million.
Tanger Outlets Fort Worth already has leases with Nike, Levi’s, Banana Republic, Gap, Skechers, Old Navy, Express, Carter’s and Oshkosh.
