Construction Launches on $91M Hotel & Convention Center
Construction on a $91 million hotel and attached convention center for Allen, TX has begun. The project will eventually lead to 90,000 square feet of convention and meeting space at U.S. 75 and Bethany Drive, in the suburb north of Dallas. Completion is scheduled for late 2018.
The 300-room hotel will carry the Delta by Marriot Hotel brand, with both conference attendees and hotel guests within walking distances of the mixed-use Watters Creek at Montgomery Farm. Altera Development is building the project, with the city of Allen, Allen Economic Development Corp. and Allen Community Development Corp. investing in it, as well.
The development has been in the pipeline since 2015.
