Construction Launched on Progress Park Distribution Center

J.P Hart Lumber, headquartered in San Antonio, TX, broke ground on a new lumber and building materials distribution center in Sherman, TX-based Progress Park. Progress Park is a 3,300-acre, master-planned business park situated 40 miles north of the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Hart Lumber contracted with property owner Sherman Economic Development Corp. (SEDCO) for 37.6 acres on Progress Drive for its new facility. Bob Hagewood and Cannon Green with Stream Realty Partners represented the park owner. The $5.5 million to $6.5 million capital investment will lead to 37 new full-time positions, as part of Hart Lumber’s first-phase of its Sherman expansion.

The new facility will be Hart’s sixth plant in Texas. The company currently serves the Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Houston and Rio Grande Valley areas.
