Construction to Launch on 20K-SF Ascension Seton

Ascension Texas, which belongs to the St. Louis-headquartered Ascension health system, announced it would launch construction on a 20,000-square-foot outpatient facility in the south Austin suburb of Buda, TX. The $14.5-million project is scheduled to break ground in early April 2018, making Ascension Seton Health Center the second healthcare product in Buda’s Sunfield Municipal Utility District. Baylor Scott & White Health will also soon be going north on a full-service hospital.

The new medical center, at 5225 Overpass Rd., will offer primary and urgent care services, along with women care. Specialties represented will also include dermatology, pediatrics, physical medicine and rehabilitation and gastric/digestive illness care.

“We monitor very closely what the population growths is and where there is a gap in services,” Ascension Texas’ Ryan Anderson told Community Impact News. He added that Hays County, south of Austin, is growing, and continues to have need for an “appropriate healthcare environment.”
