Construction Financing Secured for 50-Story Austin High-Rise

Dallas-based developer Genesis Real Estate Group and partner PGIM Real Estate have secured construction financing for The Travis, a 50-story, 423-unit apartment tower project in Austin.

The building is being called Austin’s tallest single purpose, for-rent multifamily high-rise. Located at 80 River St. in Austin’s Rainey Street District, the project is slated to be completed in fall 2024. The luxury residences at The Travis will feature technology-enabled living spaces, modern interiors and more than one acre of community amenities.

Campbell Roche and Robert Wooten of JLL arranged the debt through JP Morgan Chase on behalf of Genesis and PGIM.
