Construction Continues at The Abby MXU Project in Quincy

Callahan Construction Managers has reported that construction remains on schedule at The Abby, a transit-oriented development at the MBTA’s North Quincy Red Line stop. Phase one of construction remains on-time, even amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

The mixed-use development is approaching construction milestones, including the completion of exterior finishes and façade work. The project is designed by ICON Architecture and developed in partnership by Bozzuto and Atlantic. The project will include three apartment buildings with 610 units, 45,000 square feet of retail space anchored by a Target store, and a 1,314-space parking garage.

“Callahan is proud of our safety team, which has overseen numerous job site changes and has still maintained project schedules at the North Quincy site,” said Patrick Callahan, president at Callahan Construction Managers. “We have enjoyed a very successful partnership with Bozzuto and ICON Architecture, working in close collaboration during a difficult construction climate, and look forward to completing this transit-oriented community.”
