Construction Commences on 103K-SF Lakeway ISD Elementary School

The Lake Travis Independent School District in Lakeway, TX began construction on its latest elementary school, a 103,000-square-foot facility, situated on 12 acres, at 4219 Bee Creek Rd. in the 1,800-acre Rough Hollow master-planned community. The land on which the school will sit was donated by Rough Hollow developer, Legend Communities. The building is scheduled to open in time for the fall 2020 school year.

Bartlett Cocke General Contractors is constructing the $29.3 million, as-yet unnamed school. Pfluger Architects is the designer. The elementary school is under development to meet the high growth of the area, which is on the northwest side of Austin.

“This location was strategically selected because of its accessibility to the members of the Rough Hollow community, Lake Travis and Spicewood residents,” said Legend Communities Haythem Dawlett.
