Construction Begins on Palmetto Pointe

Koontz Corp. began construction on Palmetto Pointe, a 328-unit apartment complex on San Antonio’s northwest side. The project is going north on 15.2 acres at the front entrance of the USAA headquarters on USAA Boulevard, with buildout anticipated to take 24 months. The local developer anticipates that the leasing office, model pocket and clubhouse will open in July 2019.

Upon completion, Palmetto Pointe will offer one and two-bedroom units, ranging from 653 to 1,451 square feet. On-site amenities will include a workout facility, pool, a cabana will a grill, flat-screen television and sinks, and garages and carports. Koontz is acting as the project’s general contractor.

“We are fortunate to have purchased a highly-desirable infill location just outside of the USAA headquarters campus on Fredericksburg Road,” said Koontz’s Bart Koontz. “Palmetto Pointe will bring a new, upscale apartment option for people wishing to live in San Antonio’s booming northwest quadrant.”
