Construction Begins on Weslaco Hampton Inn

Weslaco Hampton Inn franchise owner Birju Patel launched construction on an 84-room hotel, which will be located at 1004 Fairfield Blvd. The hotel, which is scheduled for a September 2019 opening, will create between 10 and 15  jobs in Weslaco.

Patel, who is vice president, CFO and co-owner of San Antonio-based BH Hospitality Management, indicated that Weslaco’s central location in the Rio Grande Valley, as well as the city’s growth and stable economy, were why he decided to plant the flag there.

“I’ve been studying Weslaco over the past five years,” he said. “The sales taxes are consistently higher from year to year, commercial and residential building permits are steadily on the rise, and entertainment options, particularly around are new site, are perfect for travelers staying with us.”
