Construction Begins on New Upscale Multifamily in Savannah

Birmingham-based Daniel Corporation has begun work on a $100 million upscale multifamily community on Savannah’s Hutchinson Island. The project for the island is one of several, as the area is seeing increasing amounts of investment and development after years of delayed projects.

The six-building community will be adjacent to the Westin Savannah Golf Resort and Spa and feature 288 units in six four-story buildings. Hutchinson Island is across the Savannah river from the historic district.

The apartment “smart” homes will have quartz countertops, custom cabinetry, and designer lighting. Community amenities include a clubhouse and leasing office, socializing and co-working space, and a fitness studio that opens to an outdoor lounge area with a fireplace and views of the saltwater pool. According to county records, Daniel purchased the property for $1.25 million in October of 2021.

Construction is underway and the first units are expected for delivery in early 2025.
