McCarthy Building Cos. Inc. launched construction on the new Collin College Technical Campus in Allen, TX. Upon completion, the 360,000-square-foot facility will include a 151,000-square-foot academic building that will be overseen by both Collin College and the Allen Independent School District. Also on tap for the campus are a 177,646-square-foot trade building for technical and trade classrooms, and underground parking for approximately 600 cars.

The 32-acre campus at SH 121 near Exchange Parkway, will also have a 40,000-square-foot facility offering dual-credit programs for Allen High School Students. Collin College will use the space when high school classes are not in session. The buildings will be incorporated into the existing forested greenbelt area, and will also offer a central green space and renewable resources for electricity and hot water.

The center is slated for a summer 2020 completion.
