Construction Begins on 428-Bed Student Housing Project in Richmond

A joint venture comprised of Balboa Real Estate Partners and The Opus Group has broken ground on Ascend Richmond, a 428-bed student housing project in Richmond.

The project will be located near the Virginia Commonwealth University campus and will feature a mix of studio, one, two-, three- and four-bedroom units. Amenities are slated to include an outdoor terrace, pool, fitness center and lounge areas.

Rabren General Contractors is serving as general contractor for the project. An estimated completion date was not disclosed.
