Construction Begins on 337-Key Marriott CityPlace

Developers broke ground on the Marriott CityPlace at Springwoods Village, the first full-service hotel in the master-planned development in Houston’s Far North submarket. The 337-room, 10-story hotel is a key component of the 60-acre, mixed-use CityPlace, near Interstate 45 and Grand Parkway. Woodbine Development Corp., CDC Houston and USAA Real Estate Co. are the hotel’s developers. The hotel is scheduled to open in November 2018.

CityPlace is being developed by Patrinely Group, USAA Real Estate and CDC Houston, and will consist of 4.4 million square feet of office and retail space. “This Marriott will not only grow the area’s room count, it will also diversify the mix of accommodations and event space available here, allowing this thriving community to better serve business and leisure travelers,” said Woodbine’s King Scovell.
