Construction Begins on 105-Acre Florida Mixed-Use
Hines broke ground on Southside Quarter, a 105-acre mixed-use property at Interstate 295 and J.T. Butler Boulevard on Jacksonville, FL’s south side. Upon buildout, the development will offer residential, office, hotel, retail and commercial product, a part of a live-work-play environment.
The project’s first phase will include 250,000 square feet in office space, spread over two buildings. Additionally, “plans are advancing for multiple residential sites and concepts that will be available at Southside Quarter, with additional announcements forthcoming,” Hines said.
Hines is working with RTKL Associates, local engineering firm ETM, and the city of Jacksonville to develop a masterplan for the project. The focus is on connectivity, walkability, pedestrian-friendly walkways, a central lake amenity and abundant green space.
