Construction Begins on 75K-SF Falcon Hill Building
Construction is underway on a 75,000-square-foot building in the 550-acre, Enhanced Use Lease (EUL) Falcon Hill National Aerospace Research Park at Hill Air Force Base in Layton, UT. Sunset Ridge Development Partners of Salt Lake City – a partnership between Woodbury Corp. and Hunt Cos. – is developing the building.
Lockheed Martin has already committed to leasing 25,000 square feet of office space and technology development capability in the building, as a potential part of the Air Force’s Ground Based Strategic Deterrent’s team. GBSD is in competition to replace the Air Force’s current Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile system with an integrated weapons system.
The new office building is Sunset Ridge’s sixth major development at Falcon Hill. Current projects in the pipeline include a 74,000-square-foot software building, and a site for the Utah Science Technology and Research facility.
