Construction on $34M Junction Athletics Complex Launches Soon

Developers are readying to begin construction on Junction Athletics Complex, a 69-acre athletic facility in southwest Austin. Work will begin on the $34 million project in March 2018. The development is being spearheaded by former NFL player Mike Rosenthal and his wife, Lindsay Rosenthal, who is a director at Austin Performance Volleyball and owner and co-founder of Junction Athletics.

The complex will go north at 8921 W. U.S. 290, and will include an Olympic-sized pool, a warm-up pool, 12 beach volleyball courts, four grass soccer fields, 12 indoor multi-use courts and wooded trails. The idea is to have a “one-stop-shop” for everything athletic, Lindsey Rosenthal told the Austin Business Journal.

Aquila Commercial LLC is the project developer. Harvey-Cleary Builders is the general contractor.
