We’d like to share a hearty thank you to all of the veterans who have served to keep our country safe! On this day and always, we recognize your sacrifice and are truly grateful for you all.

Our Connect team consists of a diverse group of people, two of whom have served. As veterans of the military (as well as CRE), a special shout out goes to Alexa Faulkner and Marty Zweben who both shared what the military taught them about life, see below:

Personnel Specialist Marty Zweben (Editorial Director) served in America and Germany from 1966 to 1968 and was responsible for the administration and records for half a million soldiers in Europe. Being a teenager from California at the time and traveling to the South during racial segregation, he learned how to get along with people from all walks of life and believes in equality for all. As a young man stationed in Europe, he gained experience that has shaped his relationships with friends from all over the world. Thank you Marty!

Senior Airman Alexa Faulkner (Vice President, Online & Marketing) served in the U.S. Air Force from 1994 to 1998, stationed in Maryland at the Andrews Air Force Base. She became the youngest editor of the base newspaper, responsible for public relations with military members, neighboring communities, and local and national press. The military taught her how to work with a diverse group of people, leadership, and the importance of giving back to the community. She and her husband have instilled these same traits in their sons, the oldest of which is now serving in the US Army. Thank you Alexa!
