Connect Retail West Set for Tomorrow
Connect Retail West is where innovators in the retail space will share what’s drawing today’s consumers into spaces, how they are shaking up norms, and staying ahead of the curve. Tomorrow, January 25th at Hurley Surf Club Pacific City in Huntington Beach, CA, top players will discuss innovation in experiential retail, neighborhood centers, and in retail investment.
In addition to a keynote: Predicting the Future of Retail with JLL’s James Cook, the lineup of panels includes:
Food, Fitness, Fashion: What’s Driving Experiential Retail and Impacting the Street Level
Hear one-on-one conversations with leading brands such as Hurley North America’s Jeff Hurley, and Equinox’s John Klein, landlords such as DJM Capital Partners’ Stenn Parton, designers such as Retail Design Collaborative’s David Sheldon and hoteliers such as Pendry Hotels’ Azadeh Hawkins. These conversations will delve into what works, what consumers want, and how to create spaces that innovate, create community and change the way people think.
Neighborhood Centers: Finding Success in the Every Day
Some retail will never go away, since people will always need to be able to run to the store or the dentist for the conveniences of everyday life. Coreland Companies’ Matthew Hammond, Irvine Company’s Peter Moersch and Newmark Merrill’s Susan Rorison will explore how the average neighborhood is changing, where to look for the next investment or development, and how demographics play into transaction choices, as smart brokers and owners work to stay ahead of the curve.
Investment Trends: What’s Driving the Deals?
Investors are looking at primary, secondary, and tertiary markets for new opportunities and portfolio growth. Panelists Realty Income’s April Little, Marcus & Millichap’s Bill Rose, CBRE’s Philip Voorhees and Passco’s Todd Siegel will dive into the factors which are driving decisions, and where investors are looking next to maximize yield and portfolio performance.
