Connect Industrial Midwest Event Will Focus on Market’s Opportunities, Challenges
The first of several in-person events from Connect Conferences for 2023, Connect Industrial Midwest will provide real-time insights into the opportunities and challenges facing the Midwest markets. It’s scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 22 at Joe’s Live in Rosemont, IL.
Beginning with a keynote address from KC Conway, principal and co-founder of Red Shoe Economics, the conference will then move into panel discussions featuring some of industrial’s most active players. In ‘View from the Top,” industry experts will discuss top issues including factors driving demand and whether it will continue at the same pace; macroeconomics; high growth areas; development and the properties that pencil amid the increased costs of construction materials and the state of financing options.
Next up will be “Hot & Cold Trends from the Trenches,” focusing on the trends that are shaping the industrial sector, from cold storage to data centers. The conference portion of the afternoon will conclude with Down & Dirty: The Importance of Solid Ground,” a discussion that will focus on topics such as site selection, the challenges of building in infill markets and the hurdles in obtaining entitlements for increasingly heavy-duty infrastructure.
In addition to Conway, confirmed speakers include Jack Hennessey, senior managing director, Central region, Link Logistics; Shannon Wroblewski, SVP, Old National Bank; Bob Smietana, CEO and vice chairman, HSA Commercial Real Estate; and Ed Lowenbaum, managing principal, Cresa.
